Trainer Amanda Burger and her team are the very best! Amanda is highly educated in science-based positive training methods, and is able to adjust her teaching to the pet in front of her. My very fearful rescue dog participated in a 6 week Nose Work class, and we had such a great experience. The class was well-organized, the needs of my anxious dog were recognized, and my dog excelled in this positive environment. We have been able to continue practicing the skills we learned in class, and this has brought joy and confidence to my dog's life. I look forward to taking more classes with Amanda again in the future.

We cannot stop singing Amanda’s praises! We had a nine month old, 55 pound Goldendoodle who we couldn’t get to keep his feet on the floor! Walking him had become a very much dreaded chore. Our daughters couldn’t walk him because you never knew which Wrigley you were going to get…would he chase a squirrel and pull with all his weight! Or would he jump like a jackrabbit and play tug of war with the leash? Or would he walk without incident? It depended on how the wind was blowing. ?

Enter Amanda and her two week board and train program. We hired Amanda because she used positive reinforcement and not a shock collar. We had realistic expectations and based on his past track record, we half expected Wrigley to come back from “sleep away camp” the same goofy, wild dog!

We could not have been more surprised and delighted at the well behaved pup that came home to us! Walking him is a JOY! And my 65 pound daughter can now easily walk him by herself! He listens to commands and doesn’t try to bark or chase after every runner/walker/dog/squirrel on our path. He doesn’t jump when visitors arrive and he has mastered several basic commands.

You have to be willing to put the effort to reinforcement training after they come home, but you won’t be disappointed! Wrigley has been back home for six weeks and he’s been amazing! We are hoping to hire Amanda for regular maintenance training because we’ve seen such an improvement and we’d love to see what else he can learn!

He is a big 1 year old golden, so we have worked on walking on the leash, friendly greetings (no jumping), and other skills related to behavior and impulse control. We are so glad we chose Amanda to train our energetic baby Pomchi, Taki. It was hard to let Taki go for 2 weeks for the train/board program, but Amanda did a great job of keeping us informed. Now he’s the most well-behaved dog on the dog beach! He gets along with every animal and human he meets. I have no concerns about taking him anywhere - and that was the goal. Amanda was very responsive and I could tell she really loves Taki. We had to pick him up before a hurricane and bring him back to finish training. He was so excited to go back to her. She’s the only person I feel truly safe watching our baby. 1000% recommend!

The trainers at Every Dog Has Its Day are phenomenal! My 1st interaction with them was when my son inherited his dads dog after his dad passed away. The dog was still a pup but had not had much interaction with others and no training. Amanda took Colonel into her home and trained him. When my son got back into town she had a booklet with all of the things she had trained Colonel with and how to handle him. After that I used her and her team for basic training with any new pet I had in the house. I will always trust Every Dog Has Its Day with my pets and helping me keep my life sane with dogs!!
