Sharon & Tammy have now trained 2 fur babies for us!!! We are more than pleased. The whole team, including boarding has become an addition to our family!! Great with communication before, during and after training. Was great to have a meeting before to go over struggles and expectations, both from us and the trainers. The very best experience!! My husband & I got our 1st Jack Russell puppy (Dakota) in spite of the continuous “advice” of their difficulty managing them. We knew we needed a professional trainer and did our homework on trainers within driving distance. Upon choosing The 1 Dog Trainer, every interaction has been absolutely excellent. Knowing I have a movement disability, they tailored her training to also meet my individual needs. We started with individual ‘In home’ training and when she was old enough we sent her to ‘Puppy Academy.’ Their knowledge and experience helped us understand our puppy’s mentality specific to her age. They walked us through the rational for each task. All of their training is positive - no harsh treatment, no judgement of areas we were making mistakes, and above all treating her with the love they obviously have for dogs. Sharon truly is talented. She not only trains dogs, but humans as well. (Sometimes I think we are the harder ones to train). Sharon is compassionate, caring, professional and has a great sense of humor. She consults with you on that first session to make sure she understands what you want to get out of the training session. She did not disappoint! While being away from Maggie for 2 weeks was hard on us, she had a great time playing with all her pup pals and most importantly she learned to walk without pulling and not be leash aggressive. She gave us hope when we needed it most. She has not only helped to turn our child's service dog into a well-behaved, task trained dog, but she makes sure we also get the handler training needed to continue what she has taught. She has been there from the beginning for us, even testing the puppies to make sure we had a correct fit.

Our son's SD has stayed in ICU with him several times, been in pre and post-op several times, and alerts us to his medical changes when needed. We consistently get so many compliments on his working behavior.
