Underdog’s Puppy Kindergarten has immensely improved my relationship with my puppy. All of the training tools & support i have received in class have prepared me to continue to train my puppy till he is a full grown adult. I will continue what I have learned and plan on attending further courses as he ages/vacc’es out of kindergarten. This is just the beginning of a life long journey I plan on spending with my new best friend Lou.

We took our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Ruby, to Underdogs Long Beach for their FUNdementals 6-week training class, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The trainers were incredible, not only helping Ruby learn but also teaching us so much along the way. It was amazing to see how quickly Ruby picked up on everything, and the training methods were practical and easy to continue at home. My wife and I both feel much more confident as dog owners now. I adopted a puppy who was a bit older due to him being at the shelter and they suggested the perfect plan for training to meet him where he was for his age. Jill is fantastic! During our initial conversation I was very impressed by the extent of her knowledge and experience. She is committed to Science Based Force Free Training and you can tell that she has spent a considerable amount of time on her education. I first reached out to her to help me with a foster dog that had been severely injured in a dog fight and was suffering from fear reactivity. She carefully explained the techniques we would use and the rationale behind the techniques. In just a few short weeks we are seeing him feel so much more confident and calm on his walks. She's also worked with a few of our clients and they love her too! Our consultation was initially filled with so many golden nuggets, simple tools to try, Q&A, and puppy education, that we quickly opted for 7 sessions of remote training. The best part is that WE are learning how to train him, so it's really life long lessons for all of us.

I recently got a French Bulldog for my wife as a gift, and she advised that he should have training. After many failed attempts at searching for the right trainer, we found Jill from Underdogs Long Beach. From the time we had our consultation up until our very last session, Jill has been super relaxing, patient, professional. My wife is a Behavioral Interventionist for children and Jill demonstrated how to implement strategies that produce effective results for animal behavior. Jill was very responsive with every question, comment, or concern and answered them with authenticity. We are just amazed on how much our dog has grown and his ability to identify.
